(Fuente: Wikipedia)

The legend of the firebird

L'Oiseau de feu (The Firebird, Russian: Жар-птица) is a Russian ballet (1910) by Igor Stavinsky based on the tales from Russian folklore about the brilliant magical bird. Its plot, based on a children's story, is the following: The prince Ivan, who has gone out to hunt at night, without realizing it, enters the enchanted garden of the terrible Kastchei the Immortal. Suddenly, a bird of glorious plumage appears and flutters among the trees. Ivan pursues the bird and is able to capture it, but moved by its pleas, grants it freedom in exchange for one of its feathers. A little later, the prince discovers a group of thirteen princesses who are playing at tossing golden apples they have taken from the tree in the garden. The young man approaches them and is immediately lovestruck with the loveliest princess, who also corresponds his affection. At dawn, the monster servants of the sorcerer Kastchei, who wants to turn the young Ivan into stone, take him prisoner. As he is just about to succeed, the prince calls on the aid of the Firebird by shaking the feather that it gave him. The bird comes and puts a spell on the sorcerer's evil band. Nevertheless, soon the monsters come to and engage in an infernal dance that leaves them exhausted. The bird intervenes again, after putting Kastchei to sleep with a sweet berceuse, it reveals to the prince that the terrible sorcerer has hidden his soul inside an egg. Kastchei wakes up, but Ivan has gotten ahold of the egg and smashes on the ground. The sorcerer and his whole entourage disappear forever. With this the petrified knights awaken, and the prince and the princess celebrate their wedding. (Translated from source: Wikipedia)

Gamayun - a Prophetic Bird, Ave Profético. VASNETZOV (1895).

The friends

the friends get along like drops of rain
eyes of water they are all on their way to the sea
the friends embrace inside and out
under a blazing sky of candid voices
the stars vibrate in their words
the friends listen to the turquoise beat of the soul
and feel the deep indigo silence that underlies everything...

Arrival

Arrival

Arriving can be bloody
like birth repeating itself
again and again
uncomfortable
until you learn to ride
in the center of the wave
until you remember
you are the wave
until you trust
who you were before the wave
until you recognize all things arriving...

-- Lorena Lobita © 2010

Llegada

I am creation dancing
becoming the sea
becoming a woman

I am the sea of creation

I am the breast of creation

currents that lead to the sea

perhaps there is no more time

for love to be

of a selfish nature

flirtateous and vain

perhaps there is no more time

perhaps all time

has collaped into the present moment

into the point of this metaphoric pencil

& we don't know how much more road lies ahead

perhaps there is no more time

just one river that sees another river

currents that lead to the sea

I meet him again

I draw near and move away
from a landscape that nourishes me
sustains me
offers me vibrations of life
light/fire      earth/mountain
water/river      aire/sky
landscape keeper vessel of life
where root stem leaf grows
sacred maize
seed grain ear
each beginning a continuity
of the sewn ancestral field
that continues to be sewn
interwoven into the blood the genes the gaze

today I bring the ashes of my father
to this colective altar
to our altar today I bring his ashes
here to the heart of his beloved mountains
here to the chest of his beloved land
here to the breast of memory
among the mountains
that give name and meaning
to what it is to be a mountain
gigantic souls that cause inverse vertigo
they live breathe sing vibrate
hum the song of life
of the earth become earth
of the bone become bone
the intelect become intelect

here in my hands
I bring my offering of ashes
ashes become dust
dust of the earth
earth become earth
beloved earth that sustains me
here is love become earth
conflict become earth
uncertainty become earth
distances become earth
memory become earth
absence become earth
earth become love
that sustains me
and suggests a destiny
bone of my bone
intelect of my intelect
heart of my heart
to the heart of the mountain

I bring the memory of my father
memories become ash
dust become humus of his entelechy
what he planted amoung this mountains
continues bearing fruit
today between my hands
I bring the ashes of my father
and I meet him again
dust become love

From fire, ashes

these burned out ashes

still harbor a phantom of fire

fleeting fierce faint fanciful

fire

who has always been incorporeal

inchoate incumbent illustrious imago

fire

who animates form

flirtatious flighty furious frugal

fire

whose flames illuminate then lead
 to emptiness

egregious erupting erudite

fire

whose body
 impregnates this emptiness again...

De fuego, cenizas

De fuego...

estas cenizas apagadas
aún hospedan un fantasma de fuego
el fuego
que siempre ha sido incorpóreo
el fuego
que anima la forma
cuyas llamas iluminan y conducen
a la nada
cuyo cuerpo
preña la nada de nuevo...

lo vuelvo a encontrar

me acerco y me alejo
de un paisaje que me nutre
me sostiene
me brinda vibraciónes de vida
luz/fuego   tierra/montaña   agua/río   aire/cielo
paisaje recipiente vasija de vida
donde crece raiz tallo hoja
maís sagrado
semilla grano mazorca

viven respiran cantan vibran

ojos brillo flujo filo

choclo papa camote

Moray, no me soltaste hasta yo no entender

que te llevaba dentro
tampoco te podía soltar

suelta tu cáscara me dijiste

vida y muerte

noche y día

lo de abajo y lo de arriba

sol y mar
luna y sombra
lo cercano y lo distante

el amar y el odiar
lo presente y lo ausente

en un solo corazón
en todos los tiempos sin tiempo

semilla y viento

cada aliento y paso que tomo
una sola

Moray, me llevaste a tu pecho

y no me dejaste sola

Moray, me quedé hecha semilla e hija tuya...

Pain dresses elegantly

Pain dresses elegantly.
In his right hand
he holds a bright pin
with which his pops
bubbles of hope
until nothing is left.

Pain dresses elegantly.
He leaves nothing but an elegant emptiness
for the soul to walk through.
Elegance without the luxury of faith
is the only parachute
for this free fall.

Pain dresses elegantly.
In his left hand he carries
the simple cross of the Truth.

Pain dresses elegantly.
It is the pain of the Truth
walking through this place
filled with silver plated bubbles,
candid bubbles that explode
with a final gleam
a gleam of farewell tears.

Pain dresses elegantly.
Hope, my old friend,
goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

Nuestra tierra

rondando la mesa redonda de la cocina
bailamos al compás tropical
de la cumbia y del mambo

y vuelan alas verde azul rojo

otro paso y otro paso

y cantan perez prado xavier cougat yma sumac
y me das vueltas

For what I am...

I rest in the expanse of earth & shadow
I rest in the expanse of night & dreaming
without a face I am held in intimate immensity

at edge of the threshold of darkness & light,
from far away the light of day beckons me
calls me lifts me from these primeval waters

after washing my still absent face
in the universe’s obsideon night
after returning repeatedly to her arms
earth’s dawn propels me rise

face     eyes     hands
my breast bone to the manifest wind—

after waking from oblivion,
forms begin to appear

sky    horizon    earth

sea    mountain    tree

the exstasy of the sun calls me
the tempermental face of the earth calls me

the corona of day calls me

the calyx of the shade calls me

I return        & rise
return & rise
        again        & again...

starlight descends into my arms
like a glowing mantle

spellbound I advance soaking up the soft light
into the threshold
into the implication of day
into this day
a day that recalls its origin

sea of potential

            sweet like grape nectar

                & I walk forward radiant

showing my face for what I am

                        universe & leaf--

Now we enter the intimacy of distances

now we enter the intimacy of distances

the proof

of connection beyond the confines of place

of presence beyond space

of the invisible lace that connects us

I feel it now

love

you in the distance

extending my reach across the planet

through portals & biways

ribbons of freeways & mass transit

& through good byes with a hello deeply sewn into their hems

a last kiss suspended in the air

an airport awaiting

car train plane walking & bicycles

stretching out into the not yet

& then that kiss

rippling out beyond time

as we enter into closeness beyond distance

& we listen into the memories of our breath

& hear the garden song of our outstretched fingertips

blooming with life

me regreso      y me levanto
me regreso y me levanto

Demetra y Persefoneia

Al filo fino (ii)

nosotras las verdades desnudas
las llevamos a flor de piel nosotras
las verdades las contamos con nuestras caras

mujeres somos besadas por el tiempo
nuestra belleza conducida al descubierto
al filo fino los finos huesos
líneas desdibujadas ángulos suavizados

nuestra piel la hemos lucido bajo la luz
escarlata anaranjada de muchos soles
soles amanecidos y puestos

la filigrana de hueso de nuestro esqueleto
nos lleva a través de muchas lunas
lunas crecientes y menguantes muchas lunas

hemos acumulado falanges falanges

muchos no quieren recordar

palo santo & salvia
llega a la habitación

canto Om mani padme hum...

me acuerdo
pero me rehuyo de la añoranza
aroma a mandarina jazmín y lima agria
me acuerdo
y me desdibujo en las nubes

me esfumo en los nimbos
donde luego me encuentro
capturando los astros
y las mariposas huidizas

canto Om mani padme hum...

he descubierto
una secreta entrada
y desde la puerta veo visiones
revoloteando como libélulas en el cielo nocturno

ojos cerrados
ojos cerrados
resbalándome en las frías
piedras grises del pasado
el desvío donde me perdí

canto Om mani padme hum...

brota la corona del sol
sentido surge del sinsentido
como una serpiente que emerge del mar
como los ojos de Afrodita
vista despejada

sentada frente a Cōātlicuē y Kali
cada una sacudiendo

su colección de calaveras
y corazones arrebatados

dolor congoja & cambio
para estos tiempos

fue que mi madre me dejó
un collar tallado

de los vástagos de marfil
de sus manos y de sus pies

falanges floreciendo en raíces
una filigrana de venas fundidas

en la noche
la matriz de la tierra

cuento
la cuentas

en el collar de mi madre
toda la noche

ternura y hueso

y fuerte y hueso

y ausencia y hueso

y llama y hueso

ahora

aquí

yo

nada

todo

uno

medicina fuerte
para tiempos fuertes

mi sangre
fluye

con la sal rosada del mar
que ella me regaló

para todos los tiempos
todo el tiempo

marfil perla nube huracán
y tuétano que fabrica

el mundo

nuevamente

a la luz del alba

Night dreaming

I am the indigo night
the night that dreams in silence
white hot fireflies going out
& lighting up again

I am the nude white woman under the sheets
searching for green apples
pain tossed in a bundle by the bed
skin caressed by cotton

I search through my ribcase
for lightning bugs
when they have all gone out
the smell of camphor
palo santo & sage wafts into the room

I chant Om Mani Padme Hum

I am the night I once danced
I once dreamed of rain
& this night this night
my memory fills with another life
dancing on the gypsies' stage
sun bursting pomegranate papaya & mango

I remember
but I shy from longing
scent of tangerine jasmine & bitter lime
I remember
& I fade into the clouds

I fade into the nimbi
where I find myself
capturing butterflies & elusive stars

I chant Om Mani Padme Hum

I have found
a secret entrance
& from the door I watch visions
fluttering like dragonflies in the night sky

eyes closed
eyes closed
slipping on the cold
grey stones of the past
the detour where I got lost

I chant Om Mani Padme Hum...

the sun’s corona flares
sense arises out of senselessness
like a serpent out of the sea
like the eyes of Aphrodite
with clear sight for small things
& large things

& I get it--
as I pull the prayer shawl of night around me
& I hum & sway on the path
of stars spheres worlds galaxies
concepts of Universe & God

I am the light that hurries
toward the dawn of day
to arrive
before the song birds
burst forth

another sea

in this great sea of blood
sea of love
sea of woman
bitter sea
another sea
sea of hidden beaches
and of skin

in this red and white sea
I drown among the blood stained daisies
of the moon

in this mortal fire of flesh
lugubrious
laborious
lascivious fire
luxurious flame of saliva
fire that lights up fire
fire of other seas
red silver seas of the west
sown with what is ending

in this fire I curl up
between the bone and the rebellious marrow
maker of worlds miracles milleniums martyrdoms

and a return to virginity

mujer azul

soy mujer de piel azul

con mi azulada lengua

pronuncio adivinanzas húmedas

retumbando retumbando

girando desde adentro

desde el interior de mi corazón azul

soy una tierna mujer azul

lamo las heridas para dejarlas limpias

y en mi estela dejo

un aura suave de verde azulado

el agua del cual nasco

es lluvia lágrimas océano

el acto del amor es diluvio

es nube lago sudor

es solidaridad a ojos abiertos

es arroyo río riachuelo

el mundo florece en mi estela

el mundo florece en mi estela

en mi estela mi estela

soy mujer azul

soy

      lluvia

            soy

                río
soy

        lágrimas

            lluvia río lágrimas

                lágrimas lágrimas lágrimas

soy tierna mujer de piel azul...

mother's necklace

the ocean that courses
through my veins

responds to the call
of the moon

all night long
I count the beads

in Kali’s necklace
beads of blood of lamentation

Kali the black one
tongue of forbidden fire

beyond rot & stench
beyond burned earth & death

beyond time
beyond form

I count the beads
in Coatlicue’s necklace

Coatlicue
of the serpent skirt

mother of the gods
womb & grave

moon & stars
& war

her stridence & clamor
trumpets & hand drums

sound in the West
I count the beads

in the necklace of life and of death
eternity beyond form

I sit before Coatlicue & Kali
as each one rattles & shakes

her collected skulls
& plundered hearts

pain heartache & change
it was for these times

my mother left me
a necklace carved

of the small ivory branches
of her hands & feet

phalanges branching into roots
a filigree embedded

into the night sky
earth's womb

I count
the beads

of my mother’s necklace
all night long

delicacy & bone

& deep & bone

& absence & bone

& flame & bone

now

here

me

gone

all

one

strong medicine
for troubled times

my blood
flows

with the rose
sea salt she gave me

for all times
all time

ivory pearl cloud hurricane
& marrow that builds

the world

anew

at the light of dawn

Bereft

Today I feel bereft
bereft of breath
of love of sex
of imagination
bereft
of a clean ocean
of safe jelly fish & polar bears
bereft of clean air
food & medical care for everyone
bereft of succulence
of moisture
of enchantment
of incantations
bereft of what I long for
the longing is so great
it almost breaks me
but like a tease
asking how much I can endure
it doesn't.

Remedios Varo

Hypnos & Thanatos (John Waterhouse)

guardianes de los muertos

seremos fantasmas
flotando

por un bosque de carmín
entre óseos árboles

en la orilla de las aguas putrefactas
seremos guardianes de los muertos

pelicano róbalo ballena delfín
guadianes de los muertos nosotros

tortuga gaviota
e incontables seres más

nosotros guardianes

                seremos

                            fantasmas

we stewards of the dead

we will be ghosts
floating through

the carmine woods
amongst the skeletal trees

beside the dying waters
we stewards of the dead

pelican bass whale dolphin
wing feather fin

turtle gull
countless beings

we are stewards
of the innocent

their emptied eyes
staring back at us

we shamed perpetrators & victims
of our own kind's greed & apathy

are we to be but ghosts
amidst a burning sea

behind leaving charred bone
oozing poison & disembodied sadness

we children of a precocious prideful race
we steal the dinosaur’s dark fire

we pierce the heart belly marrow
& dreams of mother earth

we
        will
                be
                        ghosts

Mother daughter poem ii

Breathe breathe body of mine.

My breath spirals
like a double helix
reaching into the universe--

Mother mother
who art in heaven
the one who gave me form
the one within me...

In & out
serpentine curve without end
as silent
as a lizard taking the sun
rhythmic flux
rise & fall.

Breathe breathe body of mine--
Beat heart of mine beat
don't stop beating.

Life courses
through these veins
heart beat
a single lifetime
this my womanly form
interlocked at the elbow
with many lifetimes
and the formless
mystery just outside
the gait of imagination
within this mind...

Quiet, quiet, brain of mine.

Mother, mother who art in heaven...

My mind my form my being
moulded yes by the imprecise art of my mother
created by the Mother who created
my mother who is
the universe
as am I
as are we all.

The green face of night ii

the green face of night
blows through the stars
howls like a wolf at the door
though she a master of open and close
begs for coins
though she is a blessing beyond measure
asks for forgiveness
though she be reconciliation
& salve that heals wounds
the green face of night
blows through the stars
longing eternally
for what she never lost
drinking with thirst
though she is deep unguent moisture
she keeps longing for herself
though her essence is ever attentive
even in the most remote rooms of the universe
in this act of love
she blows through the stars
the green face of night
meets herself
green night
blowing through green stars
green becomes green

Sadness

I am the sadness
you carry with you
the long years of your life
reminding you of your steps
and your passage.
My roots
impregnate the earth
of your soul
seek the bottom
imobilize your feet
in the river.
My waters
moisten your moon-kissed
cheek of grief
color of carmine.
The mist
that my hands exude
envelops you
in a mantle
of translucent silk--
you will dress as a queen
in its folds
or you will lift the mist up like a banner.
You will carry a necklace of my pearls
in your fingers
laced like a rosary.
You will remember remember remember.
The timbre of my voice flirts
with the bells of fate
as they echo
from the bottom of the sea.
In my keening
I advise you:
Recover the treasure
I buried on the sea floor
but do not remain
in these waters!
You will perish!
Recover the veils of light
& fly away with them
to the fête fo the sun.
I remind you
of the kingdom
you have lost,
from which you have strayed.
I bestow you with a path
of shining bread crumbs
of glowing stars
that will mark your way
to your true throne.

Fear

I am fear (terror)
& celebration
of life--
Look at me!
Fix your gaze
in mine.
Feel the perfume
of the truth
in the taste
of the slightest expression
of irony
that shimmers on my brow
& rings
on my lips.
A thousand white paradoxes
escape from my mouth,
doves in flight
just escaped
from their loft.
Under shafts of sunlight
their wings,
in search for uniqueness,
shine
like glistening sparks
of light as they flee
their anonymous & mysterious
origen
in unity.
It is here
exactly here
in the here
that suggests
that requires
the there
where god herself is glimpsed
through her effects:
tree
river
wind
fish
sea
mountain
& sky--
not to mention
hot or cold
blush or pallor
blood or skeleton
or
unbridled temerity
sinister heroism
brilliant ignorance--
all the names all
all of them & what they represent
under the sun
under the moon
under the blanket of stars
all like a dancer
dressed in dawn
transparent & easy
before vanishing,
are the reasons
for this celebration
which is the fête
of the World.

Vuelo

Underground: Song of the pelvis ii

I am a butterfly underground.
I fly by night.
My wings shine like rivers
lit up by funeral pyres.
I am an angel of red flames & ivory.
As I dance my diaphanous veils
cast a web
of vitality smoke & reflections.
These catch up with you in the folds
of an intimate and distant dream
wending around your legs
only to disolve
in the shadows
of an ancestral cave--
I await you
that you might uncover me
like star fire river earth
rose petals & breath--
Savor my nectar if you dare--
Dress yourself in my ten thousand sparkling stars
Dress yourself in my flames tears & currents
Dress yourself in my agony rejoicing & spirit
in the fruits of my labor
my sighs gyres & cries--
Enter this house of serpents
this aqueous hideaway--
I taste of clay-sea-star-song.
Savor this intimacy if you dare--
I will always be at the center--
the foundation & fount
of dreams of delight
among which more than once,
you have lost yourself--
I will be many women
I will be star fire & volcano
but I will also be
the serene purveyor
of a balanced stride--
Feel my vast spaces
& solid structure.

On the cerulean path: song of the pelvis i

I am silent thunder.
I am a dark star.
I am sweet lime.
I am a sensual stone.
I am a bone river.
Call to me full of flowers
call out to me with your blossoms,
dress me in celebration.
Would that I be addressed with ceremonious honor—
Songs and libations—
Drain your cup full to the top
and over the brim, over brimming
as I come forth with light & air & substance.
Sub- stance. Sub. Stance.
Away, away, away—
Way down, and away.
A way. A Way. This-s-s-s-s Way.
Gen – gentle – generative – generations – engender-r-r-r--
Regenerate.
My gowns flowing white,
my gowns flowing red,
my gowns, a deep echoing silence within,
within, with in— a body without a body.
Enter my multiplicity.

Under a half moon

under October's half moon
you & I
silhouette & shadow
oak pine & eucalyptus
you & I
hand in hand
footsteps on path
echo in darkness
passing through forest
you & I
wind in branches
whispers like ocean
water and cold froth
you & I
night echoes cold
air smells cold
but the crickets still purr
while winter nestles
in lace silhouette & shadow
oak pine & eucalyptus
under a half moon
you & I

A taste of solitude

To ask
What is the taste of solitude?
Would be like asking
What is the taste of life unadorned?
As a point of departure for everything
Existing being doing
No barroque adornment

What is the singular taste of life?
Silent flavor of aloneness
Near the well spring of origen
The taste of the extraordinary presence of this moment
The taste of full silence
& of the wild forest that inhabits the soul
Receiving & embracing roiling rivers & cascades
In its peace-giving arms

What is this taste?
In the midst of quiet
This cardinal chant of aboriginal being
Bursting with bitter sweet truths
Of what it is to love to live & to die
& to understand what it is within you
That is love death life--

Dame of the obsidian dream

Death came visiting.
She said, I have something to tell you.
But I told her, sweet death, I will not listen.
Oh, but I have something to tell you--
Sweet, sweet death,
I will not listen.
I don't want to take leave of my life.
Oh, my love, sooner or later, everyone lets themselves be loved.

And the wind passed over the river
shaking the tresses of the trees.
Daughter, daughter, daughter of mine--
they sang, lulling me with their soft moans, sooner or later,
everyone surrenders to the charms of the dame of the night,
the dame of the obsidian dream.

Mother of the heavens

mother of the heavens
goddess of the heavens & of water
divine mother of dawn
you are the blue song of the flute
the vertical and resounding voice of the drum
the oscillation of the rain
you are the chant that surrounds
the gire of many moons
waxing moons waning moons
those yet to be and those that have been
your indigo lips
tell of dreams and visions
mother your turquoise breath
is the divine word
the wise women agree
that you are indivisible and unknowable
mother of dakinis and sylphs
mother of the creator
you exist before
and after all thought
divine one I converse with you
about essence
about death
about my path on the earth
I rest in your cerulean arms
where everything occurs in the very center
at the summit where the four paths
known by ten thousand names converge
wood mountain rock
river wind heroic feat
blood your blue eyes
under your watchful gaze I long for the flame
the flame of your heart passion
everything that happens
and that we paint with our imaginations
is born of the sum of your convergencies
borrowed recipes
recipes for compassion sea earth volcano
earthquake huracane infinite measure
measure without measure
sun and storm
in you I rest and engage
wise woman and mother of the heavens--

Ghost Riders

Rising and falling,
rising and falling
with the earth
to the earth
loving the earth
heart beat
ear to the earth
ear to the earth
oído a la tierra
a la tierra.

You come from a long line
of earth whisperers
wolf whisperers.

Tierra. Padre.
Mi padre en la tierra
excavando
buscando el corazón
buscando su corazón
in the earth
in the dirt
looking for his life
his heart
lost in the dirt
carefully
with trowel in hand
carefully
with brush in hand
my father
delicately
attuned to the North pole
to true North
to True North
true
compass in hand
looking to what was true.

His brother
was searching
in the guru's
treasure trove
heart.

You come from a long line
of earth whisperers
wolf whisperers

Rising and falling
rising and falling
with the earth
to the earth
ear to the earth
oído a la tierra
Heart beat.

How could I not secrete him?
How could I not secrete him
in the secure vaults of my heart?
How could I not keep him safe there?
Keep him safe secure
where he could not leave
yet one more time
yet one more time
of many times
many many times
when I knew not where he was.

Little one inside of me,
I see you.
I see how you hold tightly to his presence,
Indiana Jones hat in hand.
Forbidden, forbidden love
yes a forbidden love.
Is it any wonder you were attracted to forbidden
impossible loves?
This was a forbidden impossible love.
I see you
holding an image of him to your heart
in your white dress.
I couldn't begin to ask you to let go.
Why would I?
Your one true love,
the man who knew everything
the man who was from a long line of
earth heart whisperers as you are.
Earth heart whisperers.
You could not let go of that;
certainly not until the deep truth
of that is realized.

Folk tunes, song
on his guitar.
The last time he sang for you,
you had to beg him to sing
to take out his guitar
one more time.

Were you eleven?
Eleven.
And then puberty came
and he fled even further

Ghost riders,
he sang.
Still I can see it in your mind's eye:
the ghost riders in the sky--
these ghost riders are heart whisperers.

Alas incipientes

Alas incipientes brotan
de la tierra fecunda

desconocen su origen
buscan elementos
tierra aire agua fuego madera

Thoughts about standing

The longer we stand the more we must master certain basic elements in order to remain standing: gravity, rebound, swing, suspension... Our bodies must become an expression of these principles just as the river, the mountain, the tree-- These realizations are as much an expression of our intelligent development as taking our first steps. We must surrender our imposed stance, or the stance carved by our reactions, which will wear us out, and we must come back to the basics of standing or walking again and again until we feel moved by the simple fact of our existence. We are then carried by our rightful place in the grand scheme of truth, of what is.

otro mar

en todo este mar de sangre
mar de amar
mar de mujer
mar amargo
otro mar
mar de playas escondidas
y de piel

en todo este mar rojo y blanco
me ahogo entre las margaritas sangrientas
de la luna

en esta lumbre mortal de carne
lumbre lúgubre
lumbre de labores
lumbre lascivo
lumbre lujoso de saliva
lumbre que alumbra lumbre
lumbre de otros mares
mares rojizos del ocaso
sembrados por lo que termina

en esta lumbre me enrosco
entre el hueso y la rebelde médula
fabricadora de mundos milagros milenios martirios

y otro turno de virginidad

al ocaso

agua tierra cielo
montes nubes
franjas esfumándose

plateadas sombras

oscuridad

reflejos derramados
al meterse el sol
más allá del mar

iluminación sembrada

en el cimiento de la noche

desde el silencio...

desde el silencio
las distancias se hablan
el eco baila con el canto
y desde lo callado
todo vuelve a nacer--

El contacto

De por sí la lluvia no suena
Suena el contacto
Lluvia con hoja
                    tierra
                            mar...

the rain calls

at dawn the rain calls

calls out to me between dreams

dreams yet to stow their wings

still rising up against the sun

at dawn the rains calls

ash & dust

Since the beginning
we have celebrated the flower--
in the same way
may we celebrate
seed root stem ash & dust.

To be a butterfly

To be a butterfly
is but one season
in a long life cycle
where crawling
is as vital as flying.

la lluvia me llama

al alba la lluvia me llama

me llama de entre mis sueños

que no bien guardadas sus alas

siguen retando al sol

al alba la lluvia me llama

palabras cibernéticas

las palabras vuelan invisibles
por los espacios cibernéticos
convertidas en partículas
virtuales e informáticas

las palabras
siempre han buscado
espacios para transfigurarse
trasladarse transformarse

como ranas y grullas de oregami
se doblan y desdoblan
para volverse a saltar a volar
a nadar a cruzar mares

las palabras virtuales
son palomas mensajeras
incorporales y desarticuladas

se vuelven ríos buscando
una cascada de luz
a donde desembocarse
e iluminar la noche--

Déjame despojarme de esta ficción

Déjame despojarme de esta ficción

Mis alas han crecido
Y no tengo tengo donde ocultarlos

Mojadas, sí están mojadas
Con el fluido amniotico del alma

Déjame despojarme de esta ficción

Una camisa de fuerza en el tiempo
En un tiempo cuando no hay tiempo

Las almas reclaman una expresión certera

Plumas han brotado
Y se están escapando
Por entre las líneas
De la convención estoíca

Déjame despojarme de esta ficción

Aunque llore
Aunque lloremos

Por todo lo perdido

Aunque llore
Aunque lloremos

Por todo lo recuperado

Estas alas mis alas
Estas alas nuevas sin probarse

Me equilibro

Probando probando probando
A desplegar a doblar
Contraer y extender
Preparándome para volar

Mi alma reclama la verdad
Mi alma reclama la verdad

Probando probando
Las articulaciones
Huesos nervio músculo respiración
Probando

Uniéndome a los técnicos de lo sagrado

tallo y polvo

Desde siempre celebramos la flor--
al igual hay que celebrar
semilla raíz tallo y polvo.

y mariposas

Ser mariposa

Ser mariposa
es apenas una estación
en un largo ciclo de vida
donde arrastrarse
es tan vital como volar.

mariposas

el baile de la mariposa abandonada...

habito el baile de la mariposa abandonada

                                                                  abandonada por su padre

habito el baile de la mariposa abandonada

                                                      abandonada por su padre

tomo recursos vitales del lado izquierdo...

            recursos vitales del lado derecho...

                        recursos de lo de arriba...

                                    y de lo de abajo...

encuentro el centro...

            me levanto al aire...

                        bailo...

                                    bailo...

me aterrizo...

            me levanto al aire...

                         encuentro el centro...

                                    bailo...
