Meditation on an Apple cut in half :: Meditación sobre una manzana partida por la mitad

I.

¿Cuál feto crece en cada mitad de la manzana? ¿Cuál es el feto que crece en la oscuridad, y cuál en la luz?  El feto que crece en la luz, será el crío de la semilla oscura y el que crece en la oscuridad, será él de la semilla de la claridad, o es al revés?

(What fetus fits in each half of the apple?  Which is the fetus that grows in the dark?  And which in the light?  Is the fetus that grows in the light the offspring of the dark seed, and the one that grows in the dark, the offspring of the light seed, or is it the reverse? )

Al otro lado de la luz reside la oscuridad, al otro lado de la oscuridad, la luz.  ¿Qué es lo que la oscuridad desea iluminar?  ¿Y qué la luz opacar?

(On the other side of light is darkness and on the other side of darkness is light.  What does the darkness want to bring to light?  What does the light want to obscure?)

Si la manzana fuera la primera tentación y fuera yo a darle una mordida a la luz, ¿quién sería yo entonces? ¿Y si la mordida la diera a la oscuridad?

(If the apple were the first temptation and I were to take a bite from the light, who would I be then, and if I were to take the bite from the darkness, then who would I be?)
