these burned out ashes


still harbor a phantom of fire


fleeting fierce faint fanciful

who has always been incorporeal 


inchoate incumbent illustrious imago


fire


who animates form


flirtatious flighty furious frugal


fire


whose flames illuminate then lead
 to emptiness


egregious erupting erudite


fire


whose body
 impregnates this emptiness again...
