(Después de Maïakovsky)
El océano es profundo
¿quiere decir esto
que es necesario a
alguien,
que alguien añora su
existencia
que alguien está
cavando
un nuevo pozo en su corazón
buscando fondo?
Arremetiendo
contra la devastación
en la tierra y el agua
llegó hasta Dios,
y aún temiendo
ser insuficiente su
pulso,
imploró tomándole la
mano callosa
¡Necesitaba el
océano!—
que no podía soportar
su soledad
sin el océano.
Después paseó su
desasosiego
fingiendo estar bien.
Uno le dijo:
Ya te sientes mejor,
¿no es cierto?
¡Escuchad!
El océano es profundo
¿Quiere decir que
alguien
lo necesita? ¿Quiere decir
que es imprescindible
que siempre estén los
peces
amaneciendo en alguna
parte?

Listen!
(After Mayakovsky)
The ocean is deep.
Does that mean
someone needs it,
longs for its existence
that someone is digging
a new shaft in their heart
looking for the source?
Railing against
the devastation on land and water
someone needs it,
longs for its existence
that someone is digging
a new shaft in their heart
looking for the source?
Railing against
the devastation on land and water
she reached God,
and still afraid
her pulse wasn't enough,
she took God's calloused hand in hers imploring
I needed the ocean!—
and still afraid
her pulse wasn't enough,
she took God's calloused hand in hers imploring
I needed the ocean!—
saying she couldn't stand her solitude
without the ocean.
without the ocean.
Later she walked with her despair
pretending she was fine.
pretending she was fine.
Someone said to her:
You feel better now, don't you?
You feel better now, don't you?
Listen!
The ocean is deep.
Does that mean someone
needs it? Does that mean
it's indispensable
there always be fish
awakening somewhere?
Does that mean someone
needs it? Does that mean
it's indispensable
there always be fish
awakening somewhere?
