Tezcatlipoca Negro Original

Because of his inability to approach the Pole Star, Tezcatlipoca was forced to make his home on Earth. He became the ruler over Earth's surface and the patron god of war and warriors
(Prescott 1970). While he was known to bring material gain and glory to the Aztec people, he was a powerful and terrible spirit, responsible for bloodshed and compulsive magic. Tezcatlipoca was a supernatural magician with the ability to shift shapes as he pleased, which he frequently used to facilitate his trickery (Weaver 1993). In animal form, he was associated with the jaguar, and is often depicted this way in art (Miller, Taube 1993)

Por no ser capaz de aproximarse a la Estrella Polar, Tezcatlipoca se vio forzado a hacer su hogar en la Tierra. El se hizo soberano de la superficie de la Tierra y dios patrono de la guerra y de los guerreros (Prescott, 1970). Mientras fue reconocido por traer benficio material y gloria al pueblo Azteca, fue un espíritu poderoso y terrible, responsable por el derramamiento de sangre y la magia compulsiva. Tezcatlipoca fue un mago sobrenatural con la abilidad de cambiar de forma cuando le daba la gana, algo que usó con frecuencia para facilitar sus artimañas (Weaver 1993). En su aspecto animal, fue asociado con el jaguar, y muchas veces es representado de esta forma en el arte (Miller, Taube 1993).
