still

we still miss our tails

the tails we had when we were mermaids

diving in the belly of the universe

we still dream

of sparkling light

the light the fairies

sprinkled on our eyelids

while we slept

before we were born

when we still spent time

twinkling among the stars

and reaching out to the earth

we still remember

what it is to be a cloud

to be a star

to rest

rest in the arms of the universe
