body

this body
home
this memory
present
this body
living
we
breath
within the body
of us all
body
home
here
air
we breath
earth
we stand upon
fire
belly that warms us
water
in red rivers
branches
of our known universe
a tree
nothing
outside
is really outside
its all here streaming everywhere
as I look out the window
sunlight
its in our blood
mine
yours
and as you come closer
possessive nouns start breaking down
falling apart and dissolving
like pacific starfish
and when you get close enough
other disappears

and nothing essential about you has fallen apart
you've become part of something larger
yet each hemoglobin is a snowflake
and snow is falling
in your one of a kind body
each day closer
to the path of communion
